It started in a small room in Nyeri — a laptop, a dream, and a stubborn belief that the digital world could serve ordinary Kenyans better. Not just the tech-savvy. Not just the wealthy. Everyone.
The founder, raised and rooted in Nyeri town, watched everyday Kenyans navigate a fragmented tech landscape — paying too much for basic websites, being turned away by agencies that spoke in jargon, and watching automation tools sit locked behind pricing that only big corporations could afford. Something had to change.
Lucid-X was born from that frustration — and from the quiet confidence of a town that has always punched above its weight. Nyeri, after all, gave Kenya its first female head of civil service, produced world-class athletes, and nurtured a culture of quiet, determined excellence.
